Vermont made history today when their legislature overrode Gov. Jim Douglas’s veto of a bill allowing gay couples to marry. This step makes Vermont the first state to allow same-sex marriage through legislative action instead of a court ruling. And the 4th State in the US to allow Same-Sex Marriage.
Let's hope that this win, along with the Iowa win just 4 days ago, will help other states, especially California, move in the direction of equality for all.
